About the Study

The ten reflections in this book centre around women and men in the biblical narrative. The stories from the Old Testament speak of times when lives become tangled with demands in relationships. In times of conflict God is sometimes silent and sometimes God is the voice of authority and power.

The stories from the New Testament tell of women and men who encounter Jesus as healer and teacher. There are conversations that lead to the recognition of Jesus as the Son of God.

About the author

The author of the study, Ranjini Wickramaratne-Rebera, is a retired consultant on communication and gender.

A Sri Lankan born Australian, Ranjini lives in Canberra and worships at Gungahlin Uniting Church. She is an educator and a facilitator in creative process for reading and studying the Bible.  Her published writings include numerous books, articles and poetry.  The women of our congregation were blessed to have Ranjini lead our 2016 women’s retreat God with Humanity - an Advent reflection.

We are very grateful for Ranjni Wickramaratne-Rebera's kind permission to make her book available for download on our website.
